FRESH CRANBERRY PUNCH
One of the best things about holiday cooking is the aromas that drift through the whole house! To me, it wouldn't be Christmas without the tang of oranges, cinnamon and cloves in the air-just what you'll smell as this fresh cranberry punch is simmering. To get the brightest red color in your punch, be sure to pick out the reddest of the fresh berries as you clean them.

Steps:
- 1. Combine cranberry juice, pineapple juice, orange juice and dry cool-aid mix. Add sugar to taste, mix well or till sugar melts. Chill until ready to serve, pour into punch bowl over ice ring and add one of the bottles of ginger ale.Refresh with chilled ginger ale as needed.
- 2. This recipe, minus the soda, may be frozen until ready to serve. This punch is best when ice cold and slightly slushy.
- 3. A simple but elegant ice ring can be made by adding a single layer of oranges in a bundt pan or angel food pan.* OR * You can continue adding to it : Pour about an inch of ice cold water over the oranges. Freeze till firm. Then add a layer of cranberries and mint leaves to form bunches, around the ring. Add about a 1/2 inch layer of ice cold water and freeze till firm, repeat two more layers. (use ice cold water so the finished ring is clear and not cloudy )
- 4. TIP ****Use ice cold water so the finished ring is clear and not cloudy .******

Steps:
- 1. Make your floating ring ahead of time, I use a bundt pan because it has a pretty deep design on it.
- 2. Thaw the frozen topping so you can combine it with other ingredients.
- 3. Combine all floating ring ingredients.
- 4. Place in a freezer, and when it starts to set, give a stir to distribute the fresh fruit through out the mold.
- 5. When you are ready for your guests put punch together. I literally wait until every one is there to keep the sparkle in the punch.
- 6. Put the frozen orange pineapple in your punch bowl, then add Half the cranberry juice, and half the ginger ale, stir to melt the juice.
- 7. Add the rest of liquids as you desire, don't fill up all the way to make room for floating ring.
- 8. Put some hot water in your sink. Add the frozen ring and place in it just to loosen it enough to get it out of your mold.
- 9. Place frozen ring on tiop of your punch, add the sherbert in the middle, and TA DAH! You got one fabulous looking punch.
Tips:
- Start with Fresh Ingredients: Use fresh cranberries and mangoes for the best flavor. If you can't find fresh cranberries, you can use frozen cranberries, but be sure to thaw them before using.
- Chill Your Ingredients: Chilling your ingredients before making the punch will help it stay cold and refreshing.
- Use a Variety of Citrus Fruits: The recipe calls for oranges and limes, but you can also use grapefruit, lemons, or a combination of citrus fruits.
- Sweeten to Taste: The amount of sugar you add will depend on your personal preference. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
- Garnish with Fresh Herbs: Mint or basil are both great options for garnishing the punch.
Conclusion:
Sparkling Cranberry Mango Punch is a delicious and refreshing drink that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a festive and flavorful drink, give this punch a try!
