12 ounces uncooked chorizo sausage
¼ cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 (16 ounce) package frozen diced hash brown potatoes
½ teaspoon seasoning salt
1 (14.5 ounce) can Hunt's® Diced Tomatoes, drained
2 tablespoons coarsely chopped cilantro
1 avocado, cubed

ROAST-BEEF HASH

Roast-Beef Hash image

Provided by Sam Sifton

Categories     main course, side dish

Time 20m

Yield Serves 2

Number Of Ingredients 7

Leftover roasted sirloin, chopped into medium-size pieces
Leftover roasted root vegetables
2 tablespoons butter
2 eggs
Salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste
Pinch of sweet Spanish paprika

Steps:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large pan over medium heat until it foams. Add the leftover vegetables and cook for 3 minutes. Add the meat and stir to combine. Cook until the hash is hot, about 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • After stirring the meat into the hash, about 4 minutes in, melt the other tablespoon of butter in a separate pan over medium heat, until it foams. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook until the whites have set but the yolks are still runny.
  • Place the hash on a platter, with the eggs on top. Dust lightly with paprika and serve.

Tips for Making Spanish Beef Hash

  • Use high-quality ingredients. The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your hash will taste. Look for lean ground beef, fresh bell peppers and onions, and flavorful spices.
  • Cook the beef until it is browned. This will help to give the hash a nice flavor and texture.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan. If you overcrowd the pan, the beef will not brown properly and the hash will be mushy.
  • Cook the hash until the potatoes are tender. This may take some time, so be patient.
  • Season the hash to taste. Add salt, pepper, and other spices to taste.
  • Serve the hash with your favorite toppings. Some popular toppings include eggs, cheese, salsa, and sour cream.

Conclusion

Spanish beef hash is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy meal, give Spanish beef hash a try.
