The longer you let it cook the more the flavor stands out. After I've cooked it for an hour, I usually add meatballs or sausage, and let them cook right into the sauce. My Grandmother used to make it in the morning for dinner that night.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Look for ripe tomatoes, fresh herbs, and good quality olive oil.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of tomatoes. You can use a variety of tomatoes, such as Roma, San Marzano, or cherry tomatoes, to create different flavors and textures.
  • Cook the sauce low and slow. This will help the flavors to develop and meld together.
  • Add a little bit of sugar to the sauce to balance out the acidity of the tomatoes.
  • Don't overcook the sauce. The sauce should be cooked until it has thickened and the flavors have developed, but it shouldn't be so thick that it's difficult to stir.
  • Serve the sauce with your favorite pasta, such as spaghetti, penne, or macaroni.

Conclusion:

This simple spaghetti sauce recipe is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used with a variety of pasta dishes. The sauce is made with fresh tomatoes, garlic, onions, and herbs, and it is simmered until it is thick and flavorful. This sauce is a great way to use up fresh tomatoes, and it is also a great way to add some extra flavor to your favorite pasta dishes.
