SPAGHETTI A LA PHILLY

Spaghetti a La Philly image

I got this recipe after I became a friend of Philadelphia Cream Cheese on Facebook. They offered a free cookbook and coupons to those who were willing to make the dish and rate it. Of course, I did and they gave me permission to share the recipe here! This is a real keeper! After making it strictly by the directions, I made it again, this time substituting cubed tvp for the meat. WOW! We liked it just as much! So enjoy! There's a video on utube if anyone wants to see it!

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make all the difference in your Spaghetti a la Philly. Choose ripe tomatoes, tender zucchini, and succulent shrimp.
  • Don't overcook the pasta: Spaghetti should be cooked al dente, meaning it should have a slight bite to it. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and unpleasant.
  • Sauté the vegetables until they are tender: This will bring out their natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Use a good quality cheese: Freshly grated Parmesan or Romano cheese will add a rich, nutty flavor to the dish.
  • Don't skimp on the sauce: The sauce is what makes this dish so delicious. Be generous with it and make sure to coat the pasta evenly.
  • Serve immediately: Spaghetti a la Philly is best enjoyed fresh out of the pan. The pasta will start to absorb the sauce and lose its flavor if it sits for too long.

Conclusion:

Spaghetti a la Philly is a quick, easy, and delicious meal that is perfect for busy weeknights. It is a great way to use up leftover steak or chicken, and it is also a good option for vegetarians if you omit the meat. With its combination of savory sauce, tender pasta, and crispy vegetables, Spaghetti a la Philly is sure to be a hit with everyone at your table.
