Steps:
- Mix together marinade ingredients.
- Coat chicken in marinade.
- (Optional: allow chicken to marinate 1-2 hours. On evenings when I don't have time to let it sit, though, it still tastes good when it goes straight to the grill!).
- Grill chicken.
Tips:
- Use a variety of spices. Chili powder, cumin, paprika, and garlic powder are all essential spices for Southwestern cuisine. Experiment with different combinations to find your favorite blend.
- Don't be afraid to use heat. Southwestern food is often spicy, so don't be afraid to add some heat to your dish. Use fresh or dried chili peppers, or add a dash of cayenne pepper or chili powder.
- Use fresh ingredients. The fresher your ingredients, the better your dish will taste. Use fresh vegetables, herbs, and spices whenever possible.
- Cook your chicken properly. Chicken is the main ingredient in this dish, so it's important to cook it properly. Cook the chicken until it is cooked through, but not overcooked. Overcooked chicken will be dry and tough.
- Serve with your favorite sides. Southwestern chicken can be served with a variety of sides, such as rice, beans, tortillas, or salad. Choose sides that you enjoy and that complement the flavors of the chicken.
Conclusion:
Southwestern chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. With its bold flavors and simple ingredients, this dish is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give Southwestern chicken a try.
