Tips:
- Sear the meat first: Searing the meat before simmering it in the sauce adds depth of flavor and creates a rich, brown color.
- Use a variety of vegetables: This recipe calls for onions, green bell peppers, and celery, but you can also add other vegetables like carrots, zucchini, or mushrooms.
- Don't be afraid to experiment with different spices: The spices in this recipe are just a starting point. Feel free to add more or less of any spice, or to add different spices altogether.
- Let the sauce simmer for a while: The longer the sauce simmers, the more flavorful it will be. Simmer it for at least 30 minutes, or even longer if you have time.
- Serve the sauce over your favorite pasta: This sauce is great with any type of pasta, but it is especially delicious with a hearty pasta like spaghetti or penne.
