14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
5 ounce package Instant vanilla pudding mix, (larger box)
3 cups milk, (2 % or higher)
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 ounce tub whipped topping (COOL WHIP), (thawed)
11 ounce box Nilla wafers
5-7 bananas, (peeled and sliced)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add in sweetened condensed milk, pudding mix, milk and vanilla extract.
  • Mix until combined well.
  • Finally, stir in half of the whipped topping.
  • To layer: place one-third of the vanilla wafers in a layer on the bottom of a trifle dish, large bowl or a 9x13 baking dish.

1/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups 2% milk
2 large egg yolks, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
36 vanilla wafers
3 medium ripe bananas, cut into 1/4-inch slices
MERINGUE:
2 large egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
3 tablespoons sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large saucepan, combine sugar and flour. Stir in milk until smooth. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. , Remove from heat. Stir a small amount of hot milk filling into egg yolks; return all to pan, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle boil; cook and stir 2 minutes longer.
