1 cup All Purpose Flour
1/4 cup Sugar
3/4 tsp Salt
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/3 cup Milk
1 Egg
1 cup Chopped Apple
2 cups Powdered Sugar
1 1/2 T Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract, optional

Steps:

  • Pour oil into skillet so that it is approximately 1-1/2 inches deep. Heat oil on high. (360 - 375 degrees F.) Oil is ready when dough floats to top. Carefully add dough to oil in heaping Tablespoons. Cook until brown, about 2 minutes, then flip. Cook another 1-2 minutes, until both sides are browned. Transfer briefly to paper towels to absorb excess oil, then transfer to cooling rack. Make glaze by stirring milk and powdered sugar together in a small bowl. Drizzle over apple fritters. Wait approximately 3 minutes for glaze to harden, then flip fritters and drizzle glaze over the other side. Best served warm.

1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg, beaten
1 cup whole milk
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
1 cup grated unpeeled apples
Oil for deep-fat frying
Confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine the egg, milk, orange juice, butter, vanilla and orange zest; add to dry ingredients just until moistened. 1 quart vegetable oil for deep-frying
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
⅔ cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 cups apples - peeled, cored and chopped
1 cup cinnamon sugar

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a deep-fryer or electric skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

1 cup cake flour
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
1/3 cup whole milk
4 teaspoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon orange juice
2 teaspoons grated orange zest
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup chopped peeled tart apple
Oil for frying
Confectioners' sugar
