Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly impact the taste of your sour cream twists. Use real sour cream, unsalted butter, and fresh eggs.
- Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough will help it to be less sticky and easier to work with. It will also help the twists to hold their shape better in the oven.
- Don't overwork the dough: Overworking the dough will make it tough. Mix the ingredients until they are just combined, then stop.
- Roll the dough out evenly: Rolling the dough out evenly will help the twists to cook evenly. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.
- Cut the dough into even strips: Cutting the dough into even strips will help the twists to bake evenly. Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into strips that are about 1/2 inch wide.
- Twist the dough: To twist the dough, simply hold one end of a strip of dough in each hand and twist in opposite directions. Continue twisting until the dough is twisted all the way.
- Bake the twists until they are golden brown: Bake the twists in a preheated oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
- Let the twists cool before serving: Let the twists cool for a few minutes before serving. This will help them to hold their shape.
