Tips:

  • Softened butter: Make sure the butter is at room temperature before creaming it with the sugar. This will help the cookies spread properly in the oven and give them a more even texture.
  • Sour cream: Use full-fat sour cream for the best flavor and texture. Low-fat or non-fat sour cream will make the cookies dry and crumbly.
  • Chocolate chips: Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor. You can use semisweet, bittersweet, or dark chocolate chips, depending on your preference.
  • Chilling the dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps the cookies hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Baking time: Be careful not to overbake the cookies. They should be baked until they are just set around the edges and still slightly soft in the center.

Conclusion:

These sour cream chocolate chip cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that everyone will love. With their soft and chewy texture, rich chocolate flavor, and hints of sour cream tanginess, these cookies are sure to be a hit at any gathering.
