Tips:

  • For the best results, use cold butter and sour cream. This will help the biscuits to be flaky and tender.
  • Be sure to mix the dough until it just comes together. Overmixing will make the biscuits tough.
  • Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/2 inch. If the dough is too thick, the biscuits will be dense and heavy.
  • Cut the biscuits into rounds using a sharp knife or biscuit cutter. Be sure to cut straight down through the dough, without twisting the cutter.
  • Place the biscuits on a greased baking sheet and bake them at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  • Serve the biscuits warm with your favorite toppings, such as butter, honey, or jam.

Conclusion:

Sour cream cheddar biscuits are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. They are fluffy, flaky, and cheesy, and they are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you are looking for a simple but satisfying side dish, give these sour cream cheddar biscuits a try.
