1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Cream butter, vanilla and sugar together.
  • In a separate bowl combine flour and salt. Blend this into butter mixture.
  • Add nuts. Chill dough for about one hour.
  • Roll into small balls (1 1/2").
  • Bake 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
  • Roll in confectioner's sugar.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 c flour
1 c pecans, in pieces or walntes
1/4 c sugar
1 c butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 325*f
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients (except the powdered sugar)mix well on low speed for 2 to 3 minutes scraping the sides of the bowl several times.
  • 3. I spoon enough dough into my (clean) hands and roll into small balls.
  • 4. Place one inch apart on a non greased cookie sheet and bake for 18 to 25 minutes or a light golden brown on the bottom of cookie. These cookies break easy when hot so you have to be careful when checking.
  • 5. cool on a wire rack when cool roll in powdered sugar and then roll one more time after cookies are really cooled off. ENJOY
