SNICKERS BROWNIES

Snickers Brownies image

Most of us have mixed memories of high school Home Ec! I could NOT sew for anything. I cried the whole semester of sewing! My mom ended up finishing my apron....BUT I LOVED the cooking portion of Home Ec and ended up taking it for 3 years just so I could cook! This recipe comes from that class. I kept it all these years and STILL...

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cake mix, german chocolate
3/4 c butter, melted
2/3 c condensed milk
4 snickers bars, regular size, chopped
1 c toasted, chopped pecans

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 inch pan.
  • 2. Mix cake mix with melted butter and condensed milk. Spread 1/2 mixture in prepared pan.
  • 3. Bake for 10 minutes.
  • 4. Spread Snickers and pecans on top of baked crust.
  • 5. Crumble remaining batter on top of candy and pecans. This will be a crumbly textured mixture. Just toss it on don't spread it.
  • 6. Place back into the oven and bake for another 20 minutes.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate. This will make a big difference in the taste of your brownies. Look for chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will result in tough, dense brownies. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the brownies in a preheated oven. This will help to ensure that they bake evenly.
  • Don't overbake the brownies. Overbaked brownies will be dry and crumbly. Bake them just until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.
  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them. This will help to prevent them from falling apart.

Conclusion:

Snickers brownies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With their combination of chocolate, peanuts, and caramel, they are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you're looking for a sweet snack, give Snickers brownies a try. You won't be disappointed!
