Tips:

  • Prep your ingredients beforehand: Dicing the vegetables, cooking the rice, and measuring out the spices before you start cooking will save you time and hassle.
  • Use a large skillet: This will give you plenty of room to cook the beef and vegetables without overcrowding the pan.
  • Cook the beef in batches: If you try to cook all of the beef at once, it will steam instead of sear. Cook the beef in batches until it is browned on all sides, then remove it from the skillet and set aside before cooking the next batch.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet with vegetables: If you add too many vegetables at once, they will steam instead of sautéing. Add the vegetables in batches, stirring frequently, until they are tender-crisp.
  • Use a flavorful cheese: The cheese is one of the key ingredients in this dish, so use a cheese that you love. A good melting cheese, such as cheddar or Monterey Jack, will work well.
  • Serve immediately: These burritos are best served immediately, while the tortillas are still warm and the cheese is melted. You can also wrap them in foil and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze them for up to 2 months.

Conclusion:

This smothered skillet beef burrito recipe is an easy and delicious meal that the whole family will love. It's perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a fun weekend lunch. With its flavorful beef, tender vegetables, and melted cheese, this burrito is sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a tasty and satisfying meal, give this smothered skillet beef burrito recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
