S'MORES PARFAITS

S'mores Parfaits image

This is one of those quick throw-together desserts for a nice ending to a busy weeknight meal. My 4 year old loves this. I don't have fancy parfait glasses so I just make this for him in a 6 oz juice glass; perfect serving size for his little self. You can make the pudding yourself or buy it already made, which is what I do. Cooking time is the 1 hour refrigeration time. This recipe is courtesy of TOH Quick Cooking.

Tips:

  • Mise en place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all of your ingredients and equipment ready to go. This will help you stay organized and prevent any scrambling.
  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher your ingredients, the better your pudding parfaits will taste. Whenever possible, use organic or locally-sourced ingredients.
  • Don't overcook the pudding: Pudding is best when it is slightly thick and creamy. If you overcook it, it will become rubbery and tough.
  • Let the pudding cool completely before assembling the parfaits: This will help to prevent the layers from becoming runny.
  • Use a variety of toppings: The possibilities are endless when it comes to toppings for pudding parfaits. Some popular choices include graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and fresh fruit.

Conclusion:

Smores pudding parfaits are a delicious and easy dessert that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with just a few simple ingredients and can be assembled in minutes. The next time you are looking for a sweet treat, give these parfaits a try. You won't be disappointed!
