Time 45m

Yield 30 bites

Number Of Ingredients 7

Nonstick cooking spray, for greasing the baking sheet
1 pound semisweet chocolate chips or coarsely chopped bars
1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt, such as Light Grey Celtic
8 ounces your favorite store-bought granola
2 cups cinnamon graham cereal, such as Golden Grahams, lightly crushed
1/2 cup toffee bits, such as Heath Toffee Bits
10 marshmallows, cut into thirds to create 3 rounds

Steps:

  • Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat, parchment paper or foil and spray lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Put the chocolate in a heat-safe glass bowl and set over a pot filled with an inch of water. Place the pot over medium-low heat and gently cook the chocolate, stirring occasionally, until melted. Add the sea salt.
  • Mix the granola, graham cereal and toffee bits in a shallow dish.
  • Using two forks, dip the marshmallow rounds in the melted chocolate, letting excess chocolate drip off. Roll in the granola mixture, then transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate on the baking sheet until the chocolate is set, 10 to 15 minutes. Store in an airtight container if not using immediately.

Tips:

  • Use quality ingredients. The better the ingredients, the better the granola will taste. Look for organic oats, nuts, and seeds, and use real maple syrup instead of corn syrup.
  • Don't overcook the granola. Granola should be golden brown and crispy, but not burnt. Keep a close eye on it while it's baking, and stir it occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  • Let the granola cool completely before storing it. This will help it to crisp up and keep its shape.
  • Store the granola in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. It will keep for up to 2 weeks.
  • Enjoy the granola on its own, or use it as a topping for yogurt, oatmeal, or ice cream. You can also add it to trail mix or energy bars.

Conclusion:

Smores granola is a delicious and easy-to-make snack or breakfast food. It's perfect for camping trips, hikes, or simply enjoying at home. With its combination of oats, nuts, seeds, chocolate, and marshmallows, it's sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a tasty and satisfying snack, give smores granola a try. You won't be disappointed!
