  • Meanwhile, slice the bread in half lengthwise.
  • Put the softened butter in a small bowl, squeeze in the garlic cloves and add the garlic salt. Stir until well blended. Generously spread the bread with garlic butter.

Time 15m

Yield 3 to 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 cup virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
Salt
1 loaf Italian bread, sliced into 1/4-inch slices
1 cup shredded mozzarella

Steps:

  • Preheat grill to low-medium heat.
  • In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, basil and salt. Brush both sides of the bread with the olive oil and garlic mixture.
  • Place the bread on the grill and grill both sides, until golden and crisp; about 5 minutes. Sprinkle the top with cheese and place in the broiler until bubbly and golden, if inside. If outside, cover the grill and cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • To ensure that your patties are cooked evenly throughout, make sure to flatten them to an even thickness before cooking.
  • If you prefer a crispier patty, cook it for a few minutes longer on each side.
  • To keep your burgers moist, add a little bit of oil or butter to the pan before cooking.
  • To assemble your burgers, start by toasting the buns until they are golden brown.
  • Then, add your cooked patties, cheese, and any other desired toppings.
  • Serve your burgers immediately, while they are still hot and juicy.
