PESTO & SUN-DRIED TOMATO SPREAD

Pesto & Sun-Dried Tomato Spread image

This comes from my aunt who makes a GREAT homemade pesto. A great appetizer that goes very well with wine. If you're like me and not a huge fan of goat cheese-you can substitute the goat cheese with more cream cheese/try feta. If you're looking for a great pesto recipe I recommend #81307. cooking time is chilling time. the longer it sits, the better the flavours.

Tips:

  • Choosing quality ingredients is key to creating a flavorful spread. Use sharp cheddar cheese for a bold flavor, sun-dried tomatoes that are packed in oil for a rich taste, and fresh herbs for a bright finish.
  • If sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil are unavailable, you can substitute sun-dried tomatoes that are packed in water. Just be sure to drain them well before using to prevent the spread from becoming too watery.
  • To make the spread ahead of time, simply prepare it according to the recipe and then store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When ready to serve, let the spread come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve the spread with your favorite crackers, vegetables, or bread. It also makes a great addition to sandwiches and wraps.
