Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of steak: Flank steak is a great option for this recipe, as it is a relatively inexpensive cut that becomes tender when cooked slowly. Other good choices include skirt steak, sirloin steak, or chuck roast.
  • Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak in a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar will help to tenderize it and infuse it with flavor.
  • Sear the steak before slow cooking: Searing the steak in a hot skillet before adding it to the slow cooker will help to develop a nice crust and lock in the juices.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: This recipe calls for bell peppers and onions, but you can also add other vegetables, such as carrots, celery, mushrooms, or zucchini.
  • Cook the steak on low for 8-10 hours: This will allow the steak to become very tender and fall apart easily.
  • Serve the steak over rice or noodles: This dish is traditionally served over rice, but you can also serve it over noodles, such as ramen noodles or udon noodles.

Conclusion:

This slow cooker pepper steak is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a busy weeknight. The steak is tender and flavorful, and the vegetables are cooked to perfection. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
