Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken: Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs are best for this recipe. If you use chicken breasts, they will need to cook for 6-8 hours on low or 4-6 hours on high. If you use chicken thighs, they will need to cook for 8-10 hours on low or 6-8 hours on high.
  • Use fresh pineapple: Fresh pineapple gives this recipe the best flavor. If you don't have fresh pineapple, you can use canned pineapple, but be sure to drain it well before using.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: The chicken should be cooked through but still tender. If you overcook it, it will be dry and tough.
  • Use a good quality barbecue sauce: The barbecue sauce is an important part of this recipe. Choose a sauce that you like the taste of and that has a good consistency.
  • Serve the sandwiches with your favorite toppings: Some popular toppings for Hawaiian chicken sandwiches include pineapple slices, bacon, cheese, and lettuce.

Conclusion:

This slow cooker Hawaiian chicken sandwiches recipe is an easy and delicious way to make a tropical-inspired meal. The chicken is cooked in a sweet and tangy sauce, and the sandwiches are topped with pineapple and barbecue sauce. They're perfect for a casual meal or a party.
