Steps:
- Preheat oven to 225 degrees.
- Season your ribs with Dale's marinade, your favorite rib rub, grill seasoning, or simply salt and pepper.
- Place ribs, meat side down, in baking dishes.
- Cover the baking dishes with aluminum foil and place in the oven.
- If you are using small baby back ribs, take out after 3.5 hours. If you are using regular baby back or St. Louis style ribs, then take out after 4 hours.
- Drain off the drippings. Flip the ribs over using two spatulas (and an extra set of hands if you have them) so the meat side is up. Be careful, as they may be so tender they fall apart.
- Put a layer of BBQ sauce on the ribs and return to the oven uncovered for an additional 20-30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and serve them up with a side of potato salad and some baked beans.

Steps:
- Whisk the tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar, chili powder, mustard, garlic, paprika, Worcestershire, 1 1/2 tablespoons salt and 1 teaspoon pepper in the insert of a 6-quart slow cooker until smooth. Cut each rack of ribs in half and add to the slow cooker. Use your hands to rub the sauce on to the ribs. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat until tender, about 4 hours.
- Gently transfer the ribs to a baking sheet and cool for at least 20 minutes; this will help maintain the shape of the ribs as they grill. Whisk the sauce at the bottom of the slow cooker until smooth. Reserve 1/4 cup of the sauce to brush on to the ribs and save any remaining sauce to serve on the side (it will thicken as it cools).
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates. Grill the ribs, top-side down, until lightly charred in parts, 3 to 5 minutes. Flip, brush the top side of the ribs with the reserved barbecue sauce and grill until the underside of the ribs are lightly charred in parts, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove to a platter and serve immediately with the extra barbecue sauce on the side.

SLOW COOKER BABY BACK RIBS
These are the best I've had, short of the actual grilling method of course! This is a very simple recipe that I came up with a few years ago. It's not rocket science, just ribs cooked in the slow cooker and finished in the oven. This is what I do when I want ribs during the week and have to work all day. I'm eating them within a half-hour of getting home, and they turn out perfect every time!

Steps:
- Put 4 tbsp of barbecue sauce along with the rest of the ingredients into your slow cooker. Top up with enough water to cover (roughly 1.5l). Slow cook on Low for 8 - 9 hours until very tender but not completely falling off the bone.
- Heat the oven to 220C/ 200C fan/ gas mark 7. Remove the ribs from the slow cooker using a slotted spoon or tongs. Handle them carefully as the meat will be very tender and may start to fall off. Baste with the remaining barbecue sauce and lay on a foil-lined oven tray. Cook for 20 - 30 mins until starting to crisp on outside. Alternatively, cook on the barbecue, turning from time to time until piping hot throughout.

Tips:
- Choose the right ribs: Look for meaty ribs with good marbling, such as baby back ribs or spare ribs.
- Use a flavorful rub: Make sure to rub the ribs with a generous amount of spice rub to add flavor.
- Cook the ribs low and slow: Slow cooking helps tenderize the ribs and allows the flavors to develop. Aim for a cooking temperature of 225-250°F (107-121°C) and cook the ribs for at least 2 hours, or until they are fall-off-the-bone tender.
- Add moisture: To prevent the ribs from drying out, add moisture to the cooking environment, such as by placing a pan of water in the oven or spritzing the ribs with apple cider vinegar or water every 30 minutes.
- Finish the ribs with a sauce: Baste the ribs with a flavorful barbecue sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking to add a sweet and tangy glaze.
Conclusion:
Slow-cooked BBQ pork ribs are a delicious and satisfying dish that can be enjoyed by everyone. Whether you prefer a dry rub or a saucy finish, there is a recipe in this article that will suit your taste. With a little patience and care, you can create fall-off-the-bone tender ribs that will be the star of your next party or gathering.
