1 package (18 ounces) Hawaiian sweet rolls
12 slices cheddar cheese
1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can (15-1/2 ounces) sloppy joe sauce
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
3/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon black sesame seeds
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
Dill pickle slices, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Without separating rolls, cut rolls in half horizontally; arrange bottom halves in a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Top with half of cheese slices; set aside., In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until beef is no longer pink and onion is tender, 6-8 minutes, break up beef into crumbles; drain. 1 large green bell pepper, diced
1/2 yellow onion, diced
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups ketchup
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
3 to 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
Hot sauce, to taste
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
16 soft slider buns
1 cup canned fried onions, such as French's
Red grapes, for serving

Steps:

  • Place the beef in a large pot over medium-high heat and cook until browned, 7 to 10 minutes. Drain off the fat.
