1 Tbsp vegetable oil
3/4 c strong-brewed coffee
1/2 c worcestershire sauce
1/2 c ketchup
2 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp coarse-ground pepper

  • 3. TO GRILL: Put steak 4-6 inches above hot coals. Grill 25 - 30 minutes, turning steak and basting with glaze 4 times, until a meat thermometer inserted in thickest part reads 140 degrees F for med-rare. Let steak rest 10 minutes before slicing.
  • 4. TO BROIL: Broil steak in broiler pan rack 4-6 inches from heat source, turning and basting as directed.
  • 5. Keep any leftover glaze in a tightly covered jar for future use. It will keep several months in the refrigerator.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of meat: Sirloin steak is a good choice for this recipe because it is a relatively lean cut that can withstand the high heat of the grill.
  • Make sure the meat is at room temperature before cooking: This will help it cook evenly.
  • Season the meat generously: The coffee glaze will add a lot of flavor, but you still want the meat to have some flavor on its own.
  • Cook the meat over high heat: This will help to create a nice crust on the outside of the meat while keeping the inside juicy.
  • Don't overcook the meat: Sirloin steak is best when it is cooked to medium-rare or medium.
  • Let the meat rest before slicing: This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat, making it more tender.
  • Serve the meat with the coffee glaze: The coffee glaze is a delicious and easy way to add flavor to your steak.

Conclusion:

Sirloin steak with coffee glaze is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
