Tips:
- Use a variety of meats. This will give your meatloaf a more complex flavor. Good options include ground beef, pork, turkey, and lamb.
- Don't overmix the meat. Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough. Just mix until the ingredients are combined.
- Add some moisture. This will help keep the meatloaf from drying out. Good options include eggs, milk, or bread crumbs.
- Season the meatloaf well. Salt, pepper, and garlic are all good options. You can also add other spices or herbs, such as onion powder, paprika, or thyme.
- Bake the meatloaf at a moderate temperature. This will help prevent the meatloaf from drying out and will allow it to cook evenly.
- Let the meatloaf rest before slicing. This will help the meatloaf hold its shape and will make it easier to slice.
- Serve the meatloaf with your favorite sides. Mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy are all good options.
Conclusion:
Meatloaf is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and delicious to eat. By following these tips, you can make a meatloaf that is moist, flavorful, and sure to please everyone at the table.
