JUICY ROASTED CHICKEN

Juicy Roasted Chicken image

My grandmother's recipe for roasted chicken. We are German and she used to do it this way all the time. I never have had a chicken this juicy before; this little trick works and makes the people eating it go silent. It's funny. We nibble on the celery after.

¾ cup melted butter
2 cups crushed saltine crackers

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Tips:

  • Preheat your oven. This helps the chicken cook evenly and prevents it from drying out.
  • Use a baking dish that is large enough to hold the chicken without overcrowding. If the chicken is too crowded, it will not cook evenly.
  • Season the chicken generously with salt and pepper. You can also add other seasonings, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
  • Place the chicken in the preheated oven and bake for the recommended time. The cooking time will vary depending on the size and thickness of the chicken.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the safe internal temperature for poultry.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before carving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the chicken, making it more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Baked chicken is a simple and delicious meal that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a versatile dish that can be served with a variety of sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice. With a little planning and preparation, you can easily make a delicious and satisfying baked chicken dinner at home.
