Provided by Kathy C.

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 beaten eggs
2 cups favorite granola
1/2 cup chopped nuts or dried fruit, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 8" or 9" pan. Beat eggs then mix in granola and any add-ins. Press into greased pan and bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of oats for a more complex flavor and texture. Try combining old-fashioned oats, quick-cooking oats, and steel-cut oats.
  • Add your favorite nuts, seeds, and dried fruits for a customized granola bar. Some popular options include almonds, walnuts, pecans, chia seeds, flax seeds, raisins, cranberries, and blueberries.
  • If you want chewier granola bars, add a little bit of honey or maple syrup to the mixture. You can also add a tablespoon or two of peanut butter or almond butter for a more decadent treat.
  • Be careful not to over-bake the granola bars. They should be golden brown on the edges but still soft in the center.
  • Let the granola bars cool completely before cutting them into bars. This will help them to hold their shape.

Conclusion:

Granola bars are a delicious and portable snack that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are a great source of fiber, protein, and healthy fats. With a little planning and effort, you can easily make your own granola bars at home. So next time you are looking for a healthy snack, reach for a homemade granola bar instead of a processed store-bought one.
