Tips:

  • Use good quality ingredients: Fresh, high-quality ingredients will make a big difference in the flavor of your baked ziti. Look for ripe tomatoes, creamy cheeses, and flavorful herbs.
  • Don't overcook the pasta: Al dente pasta is the best choice for baked ziti. Cook the pasta according to the package directions, but be careful not to overcook it. Overcooked pasta will become mushy and lose its shape when baked.
  • Use a flavorful sauce: The sauce is the key to a great baked ziti. Use a sauce that is thick, flavorful, and has a good balance of acidity and sweetness. You can use a store-bought sauce or make your own from scratch.
  • Don't skimp on the cheese: Cheese is what makes baked ziti so rich and decadent. Use a combination of different cheeses, such as mozzarella, Parmesan, and ricotta. Be generous with the cheese, but be careful not to overdo it. Too much cheese can make the baked ziti heavy and greasy.
  • Bake the ziti until it is golden brown: The baked ziti should be baked until it is golden brown and bubbly. This will take about 20-30 minutes. Keep an eye on the baked ziti as it bakes to make sure it doesn't overcook.
