Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (6 ounce) package dry spaghetti
8 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons minced garlic
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1 dash cayenne pepper
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Melt butter with garlic very slowly to avoid burning the garlic. Season with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and parsley. Sprinkle with cayenne pepper to taste, if desired.
  • Toss pasta into the skillet until well-coated with butter. Increase heat to medium, and cook until pasta is heated through and has absorbed some of the butter. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, if necessary. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make your spaghetti dish taste its best. Look for ripe tomatoes, firm vegetables, and high-quality olive oil.
  • Don't overcook the pasta: Spaghetti should be cooked al dente, or slightly firm to the bite. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and bland.
  • Use a large pot: Spaghetti needs plenty of room to cook properly. Use a large pot that can hold at least 6 quarts of water.
  • Season the water: Add a generous amount of salt to the water before you cook the pasta. This will help to flavor the pasta and prevent it from sticking together.
  • Don't rinse the pasta: Rinsing the pasta after it is cooked will remove the starch, which will make it more difficult for the sauce to stick to the pasta.
  • Use a flavorful sauce: The sauce is what makes spaghetti so delicious. Choose a sauce that you love and that will complement the other ingredients in your dish.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs: Fresh herbs, such as basil, parsley, and oregano, can add a pop of flavor and color to your spaghetti dish.

Conclusion:

Spaghetti is a simple and inexpensive dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a few basic ingredients and techniques, you can create a delicious and satisfying spaghetti dish that will be sure to please everyone at your table. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give spaghetti a try. You won't be disappointed!
