Steps:
- 1. Jello Salad:Believe me this is awesome as a side with the shrimp salad. --- Dissolve jello in boiling water; stir in the cold water. Chill for about 1 1/2 hours; just until it jells a little.
- 2. Prepare the pudding with the milk;chill 5 minutes. Beat the cream cheese until creamy and add the pudding mixture and the partially set jello for about 2 minutes. Fold in remaining ingredients and pour into mold or bowl and chill until set.
- 3. Shrimp Salad: Combine all ingredients except shrimp until creamy; fold in shrimp and sprinkle top with a little dill. Serve on lettuce leaf with a side of the creamy lemon jello.
Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients: The fresher your ingredients, the better your shrimp salad will taste. This is especially important for the shrimp, as it can easily become tough and rubbery if it's not fresh.
- Don't overcook the shrimp: Shrimp cooks very quickly, so it's important to be careful not to overcook it. Overcooked shrimp will be tough and chewy.
- Chill the salad before serving: This will help the flavors to meld and the salad will be more refreshing.
- Serve the salad on a bed of lettuce: This will add a bit of crunch and freshness to the salad.
- Garnish the salad with lemon wedges and fresh herbs: This will add a pop of color and flavor to the salad.
Conclusion:
Shrimp salad with a lemon jello side dish is a classic summer dish that is both refreshing and delicious. It's a great way to use up leftover shrimp, and it's also a perfect dish to take to a picnic or potluck. The lemon jello side dish adds a unique and refreshing twist to the salad, and it's sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
