HOMEMADE TERIYAKI SHRIMP

Homemade Teriyaki Shrimp image

If you want to serve this dish on rice, you need to start the rice first, because it comes together quickly! I used coconut aminos, a sub for soy sauce, that is a bit thinner in consistency and sweeter in taste than soy sauce. Sweet and full of umami, this recipe works as a light lunch, or as a main, with some steamed broccoli or a salad as a side.

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure to prep all of your ingredients and have them ready to go. This will help you stay organized and prevent any scrambling later on.
  • Use Fresh Ingredients: For the best flavor, try to use the freshest ingredients you can find. This includes fresh shrimp, vegetables, and herbs.
  • Don't Overcook the Shrimp: Shrimp cooks very quickly, so be careful not to overcook it. Overcooked shrimp will be tough and rubbery.
  • Use a Variety of Vegetables: Feel free to get creative with the vegetables you use in your shrimp ramaki. Some good options include bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and zucchini.
  • Serve with a Dipping Sauce: Shrimp ramaki is often served with a dipping sauce, such as a teriyaki sauce or a sweet and sour sauce.

With its crispy wonton wrapper, succulent shrimp filling, and flavorful dipping sauce, shrimp ramaki is sure to be a hit.
