3/4 pound linguine
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 1/2 tablespoons good olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic (4 cloves)
1 pound large shrimp (about 16 shrimp), peeled and deveined
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
1/2 lemon, zest grated
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (2 lemons)
1/4 lemon, thinly sliced in half-rounds

Tips:

  • Use fresh shrimp: Fresh shrimp has a better flavor and texture than frozen shrimp. If you are using frozen shrimp, thaw it completely before cooking.
  • Cook the shrimp properly: Shrimp cooks quickly, so it is important to not overcook it. Overcooked shrimp will be tough and rubbery.
  • Use good quality ingredients: The better the ingredients you use, the better your dish will taste. Use fresh herbs, real butter, and high-quality olive oil.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the shrimp, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the shrimp from cooking evenly.
  • Serve immediately: Shrimp is best served immediately after it is cooked. This will help to preserve its flavor and texture.

Conclusion:

Shrimp lemon pepper linguini is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The combination of shrimp, lemon, pepper, and garlic creates a flavorful and satisfying dish that is sure to please everyone at the table.
