SHRIMP FETTUCCINE WITH GARLIC BUTTER SAUCE

Shrimp Fettuccine with Garlic Butter Sauce image

This recipe is a family favorite. Hint: Get easy peel shrimp and save yourself alot of work. Also smashing the whole cloves of garlic with the side of you knife or your palm makes peeling them a breeze and also cut the mincing time in half.

Categories     main-dish

Time 20m

Yield 1 serving

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 clove garlic, chopped
3 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup cooked spaghetti
Large lettuce leaf, for garnish
2 lemon wedges

Steps:

  • Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted. Add the garlic. Cook for a few seconds, and then add the shrimp and cook for 4 minutes. Add the spaghetti and cook until just heated through.
  • Lay the lettuce on a plate and top with the spaghetti and shrimp. Squeeze lemon juice over the top and garnish with the remaining wedge.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality shrimp. This will make a big difference in the taste of your dish.
  • Cook the shrimp properly. Overcooked shrimp will be tough and chewy. Cook them just until they are opaque and pink.
  • Make sure the garlic butter sauce is hot enough. If the sauce is not hot enough, it will not emulsify and will be oily.
  • Use a good quality fettuccine pasta. A good pasta will hold its shape and not become mushy.
  • Garnish the dish with fresh herbs, such as parsley or basil. This will add a pop of color and flavor.

Conclusion:

Shrimp fettuccine with garlic butter sauce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The combination of shrimp, garlic, butter, and fettuccine is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy meal, give this recipe a try.
