Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb raw shrimp, peeled
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup finely chopped green onion
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons finely chopped Italian parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Bring large pot of salted water to boil and add shrimp.
  • Boil shrimp for approximately 5 minutes or until done (do not overcook).
  • In large bowl blend cream cheese with onions, celery, lemon juice, parsley, salt, cayenne pepper and mayonnaise.
  • Gently fold in shrimp.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your dip. Fresh shrimp, in particular, is essential.
  • Don't overcook the shrimp. Shrimp cooks quickly, so it's important to watch it carefully to avoid overcooking. Overcooked shrimp will be tough and rubbery.
  • Use a variety of spices and herbs to flavor your dip. This will give it a more complex and interesting flavor. Some good options include garlic, onion, paprika, cumin, and cayenne pepper.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment. There are many different ways to make shrimp dip. Feel free to experiment with different ingredients and flavors to find your favorite recipe.

Conclusion:

Shrimp dip is a delicious and versatile appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal taste. Whether you like it spicy, cheesy, or tangy, there is a shrimp dip recipe out there for you. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy appetizer, give shrimp dip a try.
