  • Cut the tough stalk ends off the asparagus and discard them. Cut the asparagus into one-inch pieces.

1 tablespoon olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup water
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

2 large leeks, white and light green parts only, chopped
