Shake and Bake Pork Chops for Two!! image

When I first met my husband, he had a couple of recipes for his favorite foods. I couldn't prepare them any other way!! This is one of them. So simple but yet who would ever think of doing pork chops this way. Thanks to RecipeZaar I have introduced him to a variety of different ways to have his favorite foods!! Note: 1 packet of shake and bake contains 1/2 cup, I usually put one pork chop at a time in the bag and sprinkle in as much shake and bake as I think is needed.

NO BAKE SHAKE N BAKE PORK CHOPS

No Bake Shake n Bake Pork Chops image

Shake and Bake pork chops are always yummy and we liked this different version of making them. At first, we were unsure... the packet mixed in the gravy was a little gritty. But, the magic happens while everything simmers. The pork chops are juicy and tender. The gravy has a bold flavor with very little work. Prep is very easy...

Categories     Steaks and Chops

Time 1h20m

Number Of Ingredients 9

3-4 lb boneless pork chops (thin or thick cut you will need to adjust cooking time according)
1 tsp salt and pepper
4 clove garlic chopped
2 Tbsp cooking oil
1 small red onion
2 can(s) broth, any chicken, beef, pork; 14 oz each
1 can(s) cream of celery soup or onion, chicken, mushroom - you chose; 10.5 oz
1 pkg Shake n Bake seasoning any flavor
1/4 c Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Brown onion and garlic in oil in a 6-quart Dutch oven or skillet on medium-high.
  • 2. Salt and pepper the pork chops and add them to the pan.
  • 3. Brown on both sides; turn heat down to medium.
  • 4. Mix soup, broth, Shake N Bake, and Worchestershire sauce. Pour on your chops and stir it around.
  • 5. Cover, reduce heat to low/medium and cook for 40 minutes or until tender. You will need to adjust your cooking time based on the thickness of the meat.

Tips:

  • Use a fork to prick the pork chops all over before cooking. This will help the seasoning penetrate the meat and result in a more flavorful chop.
  • If you don't have a meat mallet, use a rolling pin to pound the pork chops to an even thickness. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Make sure the pork chops are completely coated in the breadcrumb mixture before baking. This will help them get nice and crispy.
  • Bake the pork chops for the full amount of time specified in the recipe. Undercooked pork chops can be tough and chewy.
  • Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful chop.

Conclusion:

Shake and bake pork chops are a quick and easy weeknight meal that the whole family will love. They're crispy, juicy, and flavorful, and they can be paired with a variety of sides. So next time you're looking for a simple but delicious pork chop recipe, give this one a try.
