7 UP CHICKEN MARINADE
I stumbled upon this recipe while "stalking" on facebook. lol Can't even remember who to give credit to but it is awesome, thank you whoever you are! I buy the big family packs of chicken when they are on sale. I make stove top chicken (will post later) and the left overs I marinate over night in the 7 up marinade and then I...

Steps:
- 1. I mix all ingredients in a gallon freezer bag. I take boneless skinless chicken breast and filet them in half so they cook more even. I put the chicken in the bag as much as I have left from a family pack.
- 2. I wiggle the chicken in the bag to get it all covered and I put it in the fridge over night. The next day I cook it for dinner or I freeze it. I am surprised how nice it tastes and keeps even after freezing it.
- 3. I would be surprised if you don't add this to your weekly menu during the grilling season. I am sure it would cook nicely in a George Foreman grill too. Yummy!

Steps:
- Place chicken in bottom of crock pot. Add butter.
- Mix 7-Up with salt and parsley. Pour over top. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
Tips:
- To achieve crispy and flavorful chicken, marinate it for at least 30 minutes in a mixture of Seven Up, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and brown sugar. Alternatively, you can marinate it overnight.
- Dredge the marinated chicken in a mixture of flour, paprika, salt, and pepper before frying. This coating helps create a golden-brown crust and locks in the flavors.
- Use a large skillet or deep fryer to fry the chicken. Make sure the oil is at the correct temperature (around 350°F) before adding the chicken. This prevents the chicken from sticking to the pan and ensures even cooking.
- Cook the chicken in small batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. This allows the chicken to cook evenly and prevents it from becoming soggy.
- Fry the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. You can check this using a meat thermometer. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve the Seven Up chicken immediately with your favorite sides such as mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or roasted vegetables. You can also drizzle it with additional Seven Up or a sauce of your choice.
Conclusion:
Seven Up chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for busy weeknight dinners or casual gatherings. The combination of Seven Up, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and brown sugar creates a flavorful marinade that tenderizes the chicken and gives it a slightly sweet and tangy taste. The crispy coating adds an extra layer of flavor and texture. Whether you choose to pan-fry or deep-fry the chicken, this recipe is sure to be a hit with your family and friends. So next time you're looking for a quick and tasty chicken dish, give Seven Up chicken a try.
