SEVEN LAYER BBQ BACON DIP
This recipe is courtesy of Kraft foods. It's really different and alway goes over great! I use Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce for this and also suggest very sturdy chips such as Frito Scoops or authentic torilla chips as the the thinner chips tend to break when you try to scoop this delicious dip! (Cook time is the time to cook bacon if not using jarred real bacon pieces)

- Place the bacon in a large, deep skillet, and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on a paper towel-lined plate. Crumble the cooled bacon into a bowl and set aside.
- Stir together the cream cheese and ranch dressing mix in a bowl until smooth. Spread the mixture on the bottom of a pie dish. Evenly spread the barbecue sauce on top of the cream cheese mixture. Layer the bacon, bell pepper, and tomato on top of the barbecue sauce and top with the Cheddar cheese. Cover and chill for 1 hour before serving.

Tips:
- Choose the right bacon: Use a thick-cut bacon for a more substantial dip. You can use pre-cooked bacon to save time, but cooking your own bacon will give you a more flavorful dip.
- Don't overcook the bacon: Cook the bacon until it is crispy but not burnt. This will help to prevent the dip from becoming greasy.
- Use a good quality barbecue sauce: The barbecue sauce is the key to the flavor of this dip. Choose a sauce that you like the taste of and that has a good balance of sweetness, smokiness, and spice.
- Don't be afraid to experiment with different cheeses: The recipe calls for cheddar cheese, but you can use any type of cheese that you like. Some other good options include Monterey Jack, pepper Jack, or mozzarella.
- Make sure the dip is well chilled before serving: This will help to keep the dip from becoming too runny. You can chill the dip for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
- Serve the dip with your favorite dippers: Some good options include tortilla chips, vegetable sticks, or bread cubes.
Conclusion:
Seven-Layer BBQ Bacon Dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any party or gathering. With its combination of smoky bacon, tangy barbecue sauce, and creamy cheese, this dip is sure to be a hit with everyone.
Whether you are serving it with tortilla chips, vegetable sticks, or bread cubes, this dip is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy appetizer, give Seven-Layer BBQ Bacon Dip a try.
