Tips:

  • Use quality chicken: Opt for boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs. Organic or free-range chicken is a healthier and more ethical choice.
  • Marinate the chicken: Marinating the chicken in a flavorful mixture of soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger adds depth to the flavor and keeps the chicken moist during grilling.
  • Grill the chicken skewers properly: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and cook the chicken skewers for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  • Make a refreshing vegetable slaw: The vegetable slaw provides a crunchy and refreshing contrast to the savory chicken skewers. Use a variety of colorful vegetables like shredded cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, and cucumbers. Toss the vegetables in a light dressing made with rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, and lime juice.
  • Serve the skewers with a dipping sauce: Offer a dipping sauce on the side for added flavor. Popular options include a sweet and sour sauce, a spicy Sriracha mayo, or a creamy peanut sauce.

These sesame chicken skewers with vegetable slaw are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. The succulent chicken skewers, bursting with savory flavors, are perfectly complemented by the crunchy and refreshing vegetable slaw. This dish is not only visually appealing but also a delightful combination of textures and flavors.
