Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 ounces butter
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups sugar
5 3/4 ounces evaporated milk

1 cup chopped nuts

Steps:

  • Combine the butter, chocolate, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  • Place the sugar, evaporated milk, and marshmallows in medium saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Monitor the temperature using a candy thermometer.
  • When the mixture reaches the soft-ball stage (234-240°F), reduce the heat to low and cook for 6 minutes, and do not stir the fudge during this cooking time.
  • Pour the hot mixture into the bowl with the butter, chocolate, and vanilla.
  • Beat with an electric mixer until the fudge is thick and dull (this doesn't take long).
  • Stir in the nuts.
  • Pour the fudge into a lightly buttered 8x8-inch baking pan.

Sees Fudge Recipe - (4/5) image

Provided by á-17891

Number Of Ingredients 8

18 ounces semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate chips (1 1/2 bags)
3 cups chopped walnuts or pecans
1 cup regular butter (2 sticks) Do not use margarine!
1 can (13-ounce) evaporated milk
4 cups mini marshmallows or 20 large marshmallows, cut up
4 cups granulated sugar (no substitutes!)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
All of your ingredients should be a room temperature!

Steps:

  • Put your marshmallows, chips, butter and vanilla in a large bowl. In a heavy pot, add the sugar and milk and bring to a boil over a medium flame. Bring this to a rolling boil and cook for exactly eight 8 minutes. Pour the milk and sugar over the marshmallows, chips, butter and vanilla and let it all sit for a minute. Start stirring with a wooden spoon until the marshmallows have melted and add the nuts and stir until the fudge is smooth. Pour into a 9×13 pan or a 15×13 sheet pan. (I use a 9×13 disposable aluminium pan.) Cover your pan with aluminum foil. (You do not have to butter your pan before pouring your fudge into it.) Let fudge rest and cure overnight or for at least several hours until firm to the touch.

Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 c butter (2 cubes)
1 pkg 10 ounce chocolate chips
4 c powdered sugar (sifted)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. melt together over medium heat in a heavy saucepan the butter and chocolate chips stiring occasionally. DO NOT BOIL. Warm untill hot to the touch
  • 2. Remove from the heat and add one at a time the powdered sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well with a wooden spoon, till thick and shiney
  • 3. Poor into a buttered 9x13 pan. I use the wrapper from the butter. Let cool and set 1 hour. Cut and enjoy. Sometimes refrgerating the fudge makes it set firmer

Tips:

  • Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan: This will help to prevent the fudge from burning.
  • Use a candy thermometer: This is the best way to ensure that the fudge reaches the correct temperature.
  • Stir the fudge constantly: This will help to prevent the sugar from crystallizing.
  • Be patient: Fudge takes time to set, so don't try to rush the process.
  • Store the fudge in an airtight container: This will help to keep it fresh and prevent it from drying out.

Conclusion:

With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make delicious fudge at home. These recipes provide a variety of flavor options to choose from, so you're sure to find one that you'll love. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give one of these fudge recipes a try. You won't be disappointed!
