Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Waxy potatoes, such as Yukon Gold or Red potatoes, hold their shape better when cooked and are less likely to fall apart.
  • Cut the potatoes evenly: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Soak the potatoes in cold water: This will help to remove excess starch and prevent them from sticking together.
  • Use a large skillet: This will help to prevent the potatoes from overcrowding and ensure that they cook evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet: If you do, the potatoes will steam instead of fry and will not get crispy.
  • Cook the potatoes over medium heat: This will help them to cook evenly and prevent them from burning.
  • Stir the potatoes occasionally: This will help to prevent them from sticking to the skillet and ensure that they cook evenly.
  • Season the potatoes to taste: You can use a variety of seasonings, such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
  • Serve the potatoes hot: They are best enjoyed fresh out of the skillet.

Conclusion:

Seasoned paprika potatoes are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that can be enjoyed with a variety of meals. They are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the paprika gives them a slightly smoky flavor. These potatoes are a great way to use up leftover potatoes, and they can also be made ahead of time and reheated.
