Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients: Fresh ingredients will give your Scotcheroos the best flavor. Make sure your butter is unsalted and at room temperature, and that your peanut butter is creamy and not oily.
- Don't overcook the Rice Krispies: The Rice Krispies should be coated in the butter and sugar mixture, but they shouldn't be mushy. Overcooked Rice Krispies will make your Scotcheroos tough.
- Let the Scotcheroos cool completely before cutting them: This will help them to hold their shape and prevent them from crumbling.
- Store the Scotcheroos in an airtight container at room temperature: They will keep for up to 2 weeks.
Conclusion:
Scotcheroos are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are a great way to use up leftover Rice Krispies, and they are always a hit with kids and adults alike. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a batch of Scotcheroos that will disappear in no time.
