SAUTEED MUSHROOMS DIANE
Steps:
- In a heavy skillet cook garlic and red pepper flakes in butter over moderately low heat, stirring, 1 minute. Add mushrooms, Sherry, and teriyaki sauce and cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are tender. Transfer mushrooms with a slotted spoon to a bowl and boil liquid until reduced to a thick glaze. Return mushrooms to skillet and stir to coat with glaze. Stir in parsley and salt and pepper to taste.
Tips:
- Choose the right mushrooms. Cremini, shiitake, and oyster mushrooms are all good choices for sautéing.
- Slice the mushrooms evenly. This will help them cook evenly.
- Use a large skillet. This will give the mushrooms plenty of room to spread out and cook evenly.
- Don't overcrowd the skillet. If you do, the mushrooms will steam instead of sautéing.
- Cook the mushrooms over medium-high heat. This will help them brown quickly.
- Stir the mushrooms frequently. This will help them cook evenly.
- Don't overcook the mushrooms. They should be tender but still have a little bit of bite to them.
- Season the mushrooms to taste. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder are all good choices.
- Serve the mushrooms immediately. They are best when they are hot and fresh.
Conclusion:
Sautéed mushrooms are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are also a great way to add some extra vegetables to your diet. Whether you are looking for a simple side dish or a main course, sautéed mushrooms are a great option.
