GINGER CHICKEN SAUTé

Categories     Chicken

Time 20m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4-1/2 teaspoon hot sesame oil
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Place chicken in shallow baking dish. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and garlic. Turn chicken to coat well with seasonings.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Remove chicken from marinade; reserving marinade.
  • Add chicken to hot skillet and cook, turning, until lightly browned, 2-3 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in marinade. Cover and cook, turning 2-3 times until chicken is cooked through, 6-8 minutes.

Tips:

  • To ensure the chicken breasts cook evenly, slice them into uniform thickness. You want them to be about ¾ inches thick.
  • For the best flavor, use fresh herbs. If you don't have fresh herbs, you can use dried herbs, but you'll need to use less since they're more concentrated.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when sautéing the chicken. If you do, the chicken won't brown properly and will end up steamed instead.
  • Cook the chicken over medium-high heat. This will help to sear the chicken and prevent it from sticking to the pan.
  • Don't overcook the chicken. Chicken breasts are very lean and can easily become dry if overcooked. Cook them until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the chicken, making it more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Sautéed chicken breasts are a quick and easy weeknight meal that can be easily customized to your liking. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a delicious and satisfying meal that the whole family will enjoy.
