Tips:

  • Use a good quality sausage: The sausage is the star of the show in this quiche, so it's important to use a good quality one. Look for a sausage that is made with fresh, flavorful meat and has a good balance of spices.
  • Don't overcook the sausage: Overcooked sausage will be tough and dry. Cook the sausage until it is just cooked through, but still slightly pink in the center.
  • Use a deep-dish pie plate: A deep-dish pie plate will help to prevent the quiche from overflowing. You can also use a regular pie plate, but you may need to trim the edges of the crust to prevent it from hanging over the sides of the plate.
  • Bake the quiche until it is set: The quiche is done baking when the center is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The quiche will continue to cook as it cools, so don't overbake it.
  • Let the quiche cool before slicing: Allow the quiche to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing. This will help to prevent the quiche from falling apart.

Conclusion:

Sausage quiche is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is also a great make-ahead meal, as it can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. With its simple ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions, this sausage quiche recipe is sure to become a family favorite.
