Steps:
- 1. Helpful notes** Have the sausage links semi frozen, makes them easier to slice. I took the casing off. I rinsed the pasta to keep the pasta from absorbing all the sauce as I like the sauce to sop with and also to keep it al dente'.
- 2. Cook the pasta per the directions on package. Drain and set aside. If you can time it right, cook it just before adding to the rest.
- 3. Take the casings off the sausage links and slice the the links. Cut off the tough ends of the asparagus and slice into 1 inch pieces.
- 4. In a large skillet, saute sausage and asparagus, until almost fully cooked, no need to put any oil in. (about 10 mins). Remove from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, bring butter, garlic, tomatoes with juice, black olives and artichokes, including artichoke marinade to a boil. Lower heat and add back the sausage and asparagus. Add basil and oregano and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes.
- 5. Place pasta in a serving bowl and pour the skillet mixture over pasta. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and serve. **I served this with fresh broccoli & cheese and a crusty bread with olive oil for dipping.

Steps:
- Start browning the sausage in a skillet. After a couple of minutes, add the peppers and garlic.
- Meanwhile, start cooking the pasta according to the directions on the packet.
- When the sausage is cooked and the peppers are softened, add the spaghetti sauce, crumble in the chicken stock cube and if preferred, some herbs or italian seasoning.
- Simmer the sausage mixture for at least 5 minutes, until the pasta is ready.
- Add the pasta to the sausage mixture in the skillet and stir. Top with the cheese. Continue warming until the cheese has melted (you could use a broiler/ grill to melt the cheese if, like me, you use low fat cheese and it takes a while to melt!).

Steps:
- Preheat oven to Broil on High. Heat olive oil in a deep skillet, and brown your sausage over a medium high heat. Add in onion, and saute until fragrant, about a minute. Pour 3 cups of water over the top, add in snipped green beans and quick cook pasta, turn heat to high. Set timer, and cook for 10 minutes. At the end of 10 minutes, pour Bertolli sauce over the top, and stir in. Let simmer 2-3 more minutes. Top with cheese, and put in in the oven to broil until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve. NOTES If you can't find the Pronto or quick cook pasta, then just cook your pasta according to package directions, and remove water from the ingredient list. Instead, sautee green beans with the sausage and onion and move on to step 6 in the directions.

Tips:
- Choose the right sausage: Italian sausage is a popular choice for this dish, but you can also use breakfast sausage, chorizo, or even chicken sausage. Just be sure to choose a sausage that is fully cooked or that you are willing to cook through before adding it to the pasta.
- Use a large skillet: This dish is best made in a large skillet so that the pasta has plenty of room to cook. A 12-inch skillet is a good option.
- Cook the pasta according to the package directions: Be sure to cook the pasta until it is al dente, or slightly firm to the bite. This will help it hold its shape and not become mushy.
- Don't overcrowd the skillet: When adding the pasta and sauce to the skillet, be sure to do so in batches if necessary. Overcrowding the skillet will make it difficult for the pasta to cook evenly.
- Add some vegetables: This dish is a great way to sneak in some extra vegetables. Try adding chopped bell peppers, onions, or zucchini.
- Serve immediately: This dish is best served immediately after it is made. The pasta will start to absorb the sauce and become mushy if it sits for too long.
Conclusion:
Sausage pasta skillet is a quick and easy weeknight meal that is sure to please everyone at the table. It is a versatile dish that can be made with different types of sausage, vegetables, and sauces. So next time you are looking for a simple and satisfying meal, give sausage pasta skillet a try.
