Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook and stir apple-chicken sausage, sweet potatoes, celery, red onion, red bell pepper, and garlic in the hot oil until vegetables are cooked through but not soft, about 15 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl and season with salt and black pepper. Stir grape halves into sausage mixture.
- Mix cream cheese, blue cheese, and rosemary in a bowl.
- Place sheets of puff pastry onto a large baking sheet. Use a rolling pin to flatten the puff pastry sheets and join them along a long edge into one large sheet. Starting with a long edge, use a sharp knife to cut strips into pastry about 1 1/2 inches apart and 3 inches deep. Repeat cutting strips into the opposite long edge, leaving a fringe of cut pastry strips on each opposite edge and an uncut wide strip of pastry in the middle.
- Spread filling evenly down the uncut center of the pastry sheet; drop spoonfuls of blue cheese mixture over the filling.
- Braid the pastry by lifting a left and right pastry strip, crossing the two strips over the filling, and twisting one time to join. Repeat braiding the pastry all down the roll, crossing opposite pairs of strips over the filling and twisting one time. Sprinkle the pastry with sliced almonds.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the filling is hot and the pastry is golden brown, about 30 minutes.

SAUSAGE BRUNCH BRAID
This is a recipe that I got from a friend's mom. It was taken out of a magazine many years ago. I have made and enjoyed this for a very long time and I have given out the recipes many times.

Steps:
- 1. Over medium heat, cook sausage, onion, celery, green pepper and garlic until meat is no longer pink and veggies arre tender; drain. Add cream cheese, green onion and parsley. Cook over low heat until cheese is melted, set aside. Unroll crescent roll dough on a greased baking sheet; press perforations together. Roll into a 12 x 10 rectangle. Spoon sausage mixture to within 3 inches of each long side. Cut 3/4 " wide strips 3" into center. Starting at one end, fold alternating strips at an angle, forming a braid. Brush with egg. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
Tips:
- Use high-quality sausage: The quality of the sausage will greatly impact the flavor of the braid. Look for a sausage that is made with fresh, flavorful pork and spices.
- Brown the sausage before using it: Browning the sausage will help to develop its flavor and prevent it from becoming greasy.
- Use a variety of cheeses: Using a variety of cheeses will give the braid a more complex flavor. Some good options include cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make it tough. Mix it just until it comes together.
- Let the braid rise before baking it: Letting the braid rise before baking it will help it to become light and fluffy.
- Brush the braid with melted butter before baking it: Brushing the braid with melted butter will help it to brown and give it a golden crust.
- Serve the braid warm: The braid is best served warm, when the cheese is melted and gooey.
Conclusion:
The sausage brunch braid is a delicious and easy-to-make recipe that is perfect for a weekend brunch or breakfast. It is also a great way to use up leftover sausage. With its flaky crust, flavorful filling, and gooey cheese, the sausage brunch braid is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
