SAUSAGE BISCUIT BITES

My mom got this recipe from Taste of Home many years ago. I have made them as a snack or appetizer for a party. Remember, the Super Bowl is coming soon!!! They are so tasty!!! * I borrowed the picture from the taste of home website. :)

Provided by Rachel Hubbard

Categories     Meat Breakfast

Time 1h10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 can(s) 7.5 oz refrigerated biscuits
1 pkg 8 oz. brown and serve sausages, browned according to package directions
grated parmesan cheese
oregano, dried
butter

Steps:

  • 1. Roll out each biscuit into a 4-in. circle. Spread butter on the biscuit. Sprinkle with oregano and Parmesan cheese.
  • 2. Place sausage link on the biscuit and roll up. Cut each widthwise into four pieces; insert a toothpick into each. *I usually insert the toothpick before cutting....the biscuit stays rolled up better that way.
  • 3. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

Tips:

  • Use a sharp knife to cut the biscuits and sausage into even pieces. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet. Leave some space between the biscuit bites so that they can cook evenly.
  • Bake the biscuit bites until they are golden brown and cooked through. This usually takes about 10-12 minutes.
  • Serve the biscuit bites warm with your favorite dipping sauce. Some popular options include ranch dressing, honey mustard, or barbecue sauce.

Conclusion:

Sausage biscuit bites are a quick and easy snack or appetizer that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or game days. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and satisfying treat that everyone will love. So next time you're looking for a tasty snack, give sausage biscuit bites a try!
