Yield 1 large pizza

Number Of Ingredients 20

1 teaspoon active dry yeast
3/4 cup warm water
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons olive oil (for bowl)
1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon lime juice, fresh
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
2 cooked boneless skinless chicken breasts, filets (no more than 1 cup-cut into bite size pieces)
1/4 cup sweet red pepper, sliced
1/4 cup canned mushroom, drained, thinly sliced
1/8 cup black olives, thinly sliced
1 mango, peeled, coarsely chopped
2 green onions, sliced
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/8-1/4 cup fresh Thai basil, finely chopped (may substitute other type of basil)
1/8-1/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped (optional)
1/8 cup peanut sauce (optional)

Steps:

  • Homemade Dough.
  • Combine the yeast and water in a small bowl, and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl stir together flour and salt, slowly, drizzle in the olive oil, next pour in the yeast mixture and stir until dough comes together.
  • Lightly oil a large bowl and place the dough in bowl, cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm spot free of drafts to rise for 1 hour.
  • In a small bowl add the chilli sauce, lime juice and minced ginger, mix well and set aside until needed.
  • Assembling the Pizza:.
  • Preheat oven to 500 degrees and place oven rack in lowest position.
  • If your pizza dough is too sticky to work with, gently add a little more flour until you can easily work with it.
  • Lightly oil a baking sheet, and stretch the dough across it until it's fairly thin.
  • Now we are ready to start assembling the pizza; start with the sweet chilli, lime, ginger sauce, spread it all over the dough, leaving a 1 inch edge.
  • Now slowly sprinkle the following ingredients all over the prepared dough: chicken pieces, sweet red pepper slices, sliced canned mushrooms, sliced black olives, chopped mango, green onions and all the cheese.
  • Bake for 12-16 minutes until cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
  • Now top the pizza with the fresh basil. If using add the optional ingredients, add the cilantro and drizzle with the peanut sauce.

Time 1h

Yield 1 pizza

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 pizza crust
3 -4 large potatoes
salt
pepper
garlic powder
parsley flakes
dried red chili pepper
paprika
1/3 cup pizza sauce
mozzarella cheese, shredded
5 slices cooked crisp bacon
1 small onion, diced
3/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 -2 green onion, chopped

Steps:

  • Thinly slice potatoes and place, over lapping, on a greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, parsley, dried red chilies and paprika. Bake for 20-30 minutes at 350°F.
  • Spread a very thin layer of tomato sauce on crust and sprinkle with mozzarella (not as much sauce or cheese as on a regular pizza or it will overpower the potatoes) Carefully spread sour cream on top of sauce/cheese.
  • Place baked potato slices on top and sprinkle with broken up bacon and then onions.
  • Bake at 425°F for 15-20 minutes. Take pizza out and sprinkle cheddar cheese and chopped green onions.
  • Turn oven off and put pizza back in for about 5 minutes to melt the cheddar.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cheese: A good melting cheese, such as mozzarella or provolone, is essential for a great pizza. You can also use a blend of cheeses for a more complex flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the pizza: Too many toppings will make the pizza soggy. Stick to a few simple ingredients that will complement each other well.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the pizza will be. Look for fresh vegetables, herbs, and spices.
  • Cook the pizza at a high temperature: This will help to create a crispy crust and prevent the pizza from becoming soggy.
  • Let the pizza cool slightly before slicing: This will help to prevent the cheese from sliding off the pizza.

Conclusion:

Making a delicious pizza at home is easier than you think. With a little practice, you'll be able to create pizzas that are just as good as (or even better than!) your favorite takeout. So what are you waiting for? Get started today!
