Tips:

  • Choose the right spaghetti. For this recipe, a long, thin spaghetti, such as spaghetti or linguine, works best. You can also use a thicker spaghetti, such as bucatini or rigatoni, but the cooking time may vary.
  • Cook the spaghetti al dente. This means that the spaghetti should be cooked until it is tender but still has a slight bite to it. Overcooked spaghetti will be mushy and bland.
  • Use a flavorful sauce. The sauce is what really makes this dish, so make sure to use a sauce that you love. You can use a simple tomato sauce, a creamy Alfredo sauce, or a pesto sauce. If you're using a store-bought sauce, be sure to doctor it up with some fresh herbs, spices, or vegetables.
  • Don't skimp on the cheese. Cheese is what makes this dish rich and decadent. Use a good quality Parmesan cheese and grate it fresh. You can also add a little bit of mozzarella or ricotta cheese for extra flavor.
  • Serve immediately. Spaghetti is best served immediately after it is cooked. If you need to make it ahead of time, you can cook the spaghetti and sauce separately and then reheat them just before serving.

Sassy Spaghetti is a quick and easy dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great dish to make for a crowd.
