1 medium onion
1 stick butter
2 lb frozen hash browns (shredded works best)
16 oz Breakstone's Sour Cream
1 can Campbell's cream of mushroom soup
1 pack little smokies sausages
1/4 lb Velveeta, cubed small or shredded (for extra cheese - optional)
12 oz Kraft Cheddar Cheese (finely shredded), divided

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Chop onion and saute in butter. Mix hash browns, sour cream, soup, little smokies, sauteed onions, Velveeta (optional), and half of the cheddar cheese.

2 (16 ounce) packages Little Smokies sausages
14 ounces ketchup
2 tablespoons white vinegar
3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon french's yellow mustard
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine: ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, cloves and cinnamon.
  • Mix well.
  • Add the Little Smokies (drain out the liquid from packages) and cover.
  • Simmer on medium-low heat for about 30-45 minutes or until Little Smokies are heated through, stirring occasionally.
